I stopped by Iron’s Distillery to buy three bottles for gifts after tasting it at a friend’s house. This product has the best elements of bourbon and rye—the perfect amount of sweetness and spice. For a high proof whiskey this is incredibly smooth. I had a $35 glass of Pappy Van Winkle in San Antonio last month and Irons is better by far. It isn’t even close. The secret it seems is aging in tiny barrels which gives a surface area that the big barrels (like Jack, Makers, etc use) cannot touch. The resulting product is amazing for such a young whiskey. This is a boutique spirit that has to be tasted to be believed. It only needs a heavy old fashioned glass and a single ice cube. Mr. Irons is to be congratulated. When the world catches on he won’t be able to keep it on the shelf.

Looking for a unique and memorable gift? Ask Jeff about hosting a tasting event. My husband had a guy's night out at the distillery and they had the best time! Jeff was passionate about explaining his process and what makes his bourbon unique. He is a master of his craft. Huntsville residents, we have another jewel in our wonderful city. Support Irons Distillery and drink local.

Stopped in today for a bottle of their craft bourbon whiskey after hearing great things about it. It has an amazingly smooth taste that is perfect neat or on the rocks. I think it’s superior to most premium commercial offerings which is refreshing for a locally made product. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I was surprised to find Irons Distillery today while wandering around Lowe Mill...I guess I don't keep well enough abreast of local news to realize it's been around several months now. I was offered a tasting of both their unaged spirit (white dog) and the barrel-aged bourbon. Both were fantastic! The raw whiskey is honestly one of the best I have ever tasted, beautiful full flavor without the kerosene-y/white tequila thing you so often get with unaged whiskey. The bourbon was a surprise, too. At 90 proof it is robust and flavorful, with enough subtle fire, spice, and kick to make it memorable. I am looking forward to Irons ONE hitting the market (so I can bring a bottle home) and wish Mr. Irons and his staff the best of luck!

In addition to being the perfect Christmas gift for various son-in-laws and brother-in-laws, your Irons One whiskey has become our favorite for mixing with eggnog. The strong oaky taste with a hint of vanilla is just perfect.

Excellent flavor in this bourbon! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jeff and touring the Irons operation. I'm really excited that this is happening in Huntsville, and I can't wait to get my hands on another bottle!

Love this bourbon. I've had bottles from at least three batches now and it's consistently great. It can be hard to get a bottle sometimes. Check their FB page for updates on availability.
